You don't have to be a child to enjoy this book!

Alabaster's Song is a story that you should own, even if you don't have a child. It is warm and sweet, and brings you back to the place where the child inside each one of us still lives.
As always, Max Lucado has the gift of reaching down into the depths of your heart and soul, and touching you, drawing you closer to God.
Make this book part of your library, part of your Christmas traditions. I read it each year to my "babies", who are now 19, 17, and 13. It is a tradition I will carry on with my grandchildren.

Wonderful story for Christmastime or anytime

This is a fabulous book that brings to mind the wonder of Christmas through a child's eyes. The illustrations are beautiful and the story is timeless and unforgettable! I read this story to my children, ages 11, 8, and 4, each year around Christmas. I even read it to my MOPS group as a Christmas reading last year. Thank you, Max Lucado, for another wonderful children's book!

Bring home the true meaning of Christmas to share.

I purchased this book for my two small boys--ages 7 and 3. We read it several days before Christmas and each night leading up to Christmas, it was the first book and the last book they wanted to read.

They learned what Christmas was about and my littlest conversed with the angels in our home on display asking if they were "Alabaster" and begging for them to tell him the story.

It is the only Christmas book that didn't get packed away 'til next year! My boys often find it on the shelf and pull it out to say, "Hi" to Alabaster.
This book will bring into your heart and your home the true meaning of Christmas to share with generations to come. You will recognize members of your family in the characters portrayed and desire to change and see how much more wonderful Christmas can be by remembering the story of Alabaster

The diagnostic assessment of writing is an important aspect of language testing which has often been neclected in the literature. However, it is an area which poses special challenges to practioners both in the classroom and in large-scale testing situations. This book presents a study which set out to develop and validate a rating scale specifically designed for the diagnostic assessment of writing in an academic English setting. The scale was developed by analysing a large number of writing performances produced by both native speakers of English and learners of English as an additional language. The rating scale was then validated using both quantitative and qualitative methods. The study showed that a detailed data-based rating scale is more valid and more useful for diagnostic purposes than the more commonly used impressionistic rating scale.

Master Jeremy Ross has done it again

Master Jeremy Ross has done it again. A massive, encyclopedic work on the propierties of the most common western herbs both from the Traditional Chinese Medicine point of view and the western scientific tradition. Each herb is properly described in a double page so there's no doubt you are getting lots of facts here.
Chinese herbs and formulas are extremely powerfull, but are often hard to find and expensive. As a TCM practicioner, now I can make my own western herb prescription according to my TCM diagnosis.
So this is a great step for the herbal based therapies. A book that will raise herbal medicine to a new level in the coming years.
