The best handbook in existence.

The Long Range Shooting Handbook gives a clear-cut, no B.S approach and explanation to the fundamentals of long range shooting. The amount I've learned from this book almost equals the volume of information contained therein.

It's reassuring to know as you read that Ryan is a man of experience unparalleled by other sources of information on this subject. As he mentions, his methods may start internet flame wars, but then, what do they really know? In this book, you won't find any useless, exclusive, sophisticated methods, but, rather, the straight truths and ways of the rifleman's art. Ryan learned this art in an occupation where his life and others' depended on the outcome. He is without question a master in this field.

Another thing to note is that many books on this subject which are introductory level, which the Long Range Shooting Handbook is meant to be, spend the whole book saying, "In (book, course, etc.) you will learn...," wasting space with useless photos, or bragging of the author's achievements. In reading Cleckner's book, you will forget it is even intended as a "beginners guide to precision rifle shooting." The cover should read, "An extremely comprehensive handbook guide to long range shooting." And yet it still remains accessible to the beginner.

With such a huge success in a beginners handbook, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming sequel.

You won't find a more comprehensive and valuable guide to the subject of long range shooting in layman's terms anywhere. Period. If you consider yourself proficient in rifle shooting, do yourself a favor and buy this book. You'll find important concepts you had no idea of explained in a way you will understand and easily be able to apply and take your shooting skills to the next level.

Another plus for Ryan is that, while he recommends products, he doesn't spam, and only recommends tools of genuine usefulness. I've read some books that felt more like a catalog. None of that here!

I could go on forever, but, I've got shooting to do. The Long Range Shooting Handbook will be the absolute best purchase decision you've made for you shooting gear bag in quite some time. You won't regret it, and you won't be able to put it down.

I've been wanting to get into long range shooting ...

I've been an avid shooter for a long time and I really wanted to get into long range shooting. I actually read an article by Mr. Cleckner in another publication that I really enjoyed. So when I found out that he had a book coming out, I made sure I bought it as soon as it was available. I have been very satisfied with his book. Its written very much in layman's terms and I have learned something in every single chapter. To be honest, I have learned quite a bit in every chapter. Even the chapters on subjects I thought I knew were insightful and informative. This has turned out to be one of the best purchases I have ever made when it comes to improving my shooting skills and knowledge and I will be on the lookout for Mr. Cleckner's future books.

The parts about the 7d are good

The title indicates that this is about the 7d, but there are a few sections only of very good information about settings. The rest is mainly information about Photoshop techniques. Those parts are also good, but I bought the book so I could read about the 7d, and was disappointed to find so little about it here.

This is a very good book regarding 7D settings, but then he goes into a lot of Photoshop info, which I do not use. I think at least 1/3 of the book was about photoshop.

Roe's "Romanticism" reveals one of the most politically, artistically and socially influential periods of our time. The Romantic Period.

The book is more than a reference source for Arts students. It reveals and explores a unique time when the written word defeated tyrants, when poetry and philosophy overthrew governments, and where from such upheaval was born the implementation of compassion for mankind, the birth of human rights and the expression of intimate love. Molds were broken, conventions shattered, personal feelings and passions were shouted aloud in the name of freedom and love.

Roe's comprehensive collection provides a uniquely holistic political and socio-cultural context for those who wish to understand what happened in that extraordinary period between mid-1700 and mid-1800 and why it happened.

Few books on Romanticism cover more than the poetry and writings of a few key personalities, sticking mainly to British writers. "Romanticism" covers, in good amounts of detail, the spectrum of human activity for the period, from political and social change to religion, science, philosophy and art. The book covers the influences of that period on consequent socieities, right up to today, exploring beyond Britain to Europe and the Americas.

The book is well written, for the novice or student, historian or scientist, by experts in the field. The chapters flow well, should the reader wish to read from front to back.

In conclusion, Roe has produced a book that will be cherished by its readers.

Useless without accompanying anthology...

Unless you already have the Oxford Romanticism anthology (whatever it's called), this book is quite useless since most of the references in the essays are to in the entries in the anthology. Perhaps, paired with the anthology, it would be OK.

Silberberg received his B.S. in chemistry from the City University of New York in 1966 and his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Oklahoma, in 1971.  He then accepted a research position at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he studied the chemical nature of neurotransmission and Parkinson's disease.  In 1977, Dr. Silberberg joined the faculty of Simon's Rock College of Bard (Massachusetts), a liberal arts college known for its excellence in teaching small classes of highly motivated students.  As Head of the Natural Sciences Major and Director of Premedical Studies, he taught courses in general chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and nonmajors chemistry.  The close student contact afforded him insights into how students learn chemistry, where they have difficulties, and what strategies can help them succeed.  In 1983, Dr. Silberberg decided to apply these insights in a broader context and established a text writing and editing company.  Before writing his own text, he worked on chemistry, biochemistry, and physics texts for several major college publishers.  He resides with his wife and child in Massachusetts.  For relaxation, he cooks, sings, and walks in the woods.

Good book, but it didn't come with a product code for the online material so that cost an extra $60. The book shipped fast and got here on time

I needed this book for my General Chemistry 1 and ...

I needed this book for my General Chemistry 1 and 2. The helpfulness will most likely depend on how your professor uses it but I found that it was written well (not too dry - didn't make me fall asleep) and had very helpful examples problems. The back of the book question/answer section really prepared me for exams.

Relatively Easy to learn from.

Plenty of examples within the book to help you through each chapter. The text itself is a little difficult to understand though if you are truly a beginner at chemistry.
